Carter Bastian

Since the pandemic, remote work has become common place and this talk explores what was happening before the pandemic and what has changed since in the workplace. Carter will explore the effectiveness of remote work and what the future of work looks like after this seismic change. Carter has worked in the tech industry in roles varying from Director of Culture to Director of Engineering, and he’s now Cofounder and CEO of a seed-stage financial tech company. As a Spokane local, Carter Bastian enjoys time spent at local cafes while drinking black coffee. When Carter is not giving a TED talk, he watches his favorite talks by Aubrey De Grey or plays music with friends. Carter’s favorite meal is Japanese Curry, and he would love to explore downtown Tokyo one day.
