Mark Anderson is a poet, and Spokane’s most recent poet laureate. He has been performing poetry and organizing poetry events in Spokane for over a decade. He is one of the co-founders of the cult classic Broken Mic readings series, as well as several other events. Mark has traveled all across the country performing in coffee shops, schools, poetry slams, bars, parks, and basements. In his talk, he shares a response to a poem written many years ago by his great great grandfather. The beautiful and vivid words provide an opportunity for a peaceful reflection. Enjoy!
